Myopia, Prevention & Control
Learn the triggers which increase nearsightedness, and how to STOP or even reverse myopia progression at any age. The event is free.
At the turn of the century, just 10 to 14 percent of Americans were nearsighted. Today, the figure is close to 40 percent. While myopic changes used to stop by age 16, today optometrists find people becoming myopic into their mid-to-late 30s. Vision scientists have found that myopia seems to be triggered by prolonged, intense near vision work. It's often called "environmental myopia." They have also proven several clinical approaches to prevent, reduce or limit myopic changes.
In this special workshop on myopia, Participants learn how to prevent lifelong dependence on glasses, lenses or eye surgery.
You are invited to attend a special, free workshop to find out what can be done to prevent, limit and in some cases, reverse nearsightedness without surgery to the eyes. You'll have the opportunity to learn how to identify adults and children who are at risk in time to take preventive action. You'll learn how to perform key tests, and have an opportunity to ask any questions you may have about your own vision, or the vision of your children. We'll provide you with testing tools and checklists, help you discover what causes myopia, and share exactly what can be done about it. This is a critical workshop for anyone with children, or who is worried about their own near- sightedness.
