Awaken Wellness Fair March 26 Has Party Vibe: "Our area’s best-loved body-mind-spirit-green expo."

Awaken Wellness Fair in Tarrytown

The Awaken Wellness Fair, which returns to Tarrytown March 26, has long been billed as “our area’s best-loved body-mind-spirit-green expo.” There’s plenty to be learned at this event, but the vibe is far more social than educational, notes Awaken Fairs founder Paula Caracappa. “While expo is a word associated with such events, this one is a party—no walls separating people. It’s wide open, with lots of friendly interaction.”

Since 2002, this wellness-focused, experiential event has attracted more than 100 exhibitors to locations throughout the tri-state area, expanding from one annual event to multiple events in New York City, Tarrytown, Brooklyn, and Fort Lee, New Jersey. While attendance has grown from 42 people at the first Awaken Fair to hundreds of people in recent years, the goal remains constant: introducing people to the variety of wellness services and products available in our area today.

This year’s fair in Tarrytown will take place March 26, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the Grand Ballroom of the DoubleTree Hotel at 455 South Broadway. Keynote speaker Kacey Morabito Grean of WHUD Radio will present “Life Lessons,” discussing what she’s learned in her 30-year broadcasting career.

Caracappa says the Awaken Fairs are a big draw for men and women curious about holistic wellness practices, as they have the opportunity to explore modalities like Reiki and pranic and energy healing. “Healing practices have become more and more mainstream, and many people ‘sample’ a healing practice for the first time at the Awaken Fair,” she says. “They find abundant information encompassing the world of ancient, as well as new, cutting-edge healing or wellness methods. Often guests have come expecting to spend a couple of hours and find themselves spending the entire day, because there is so much exciting knowledge to gather.”

Visitors can also explore products and services to support a healthy lifestyle. The Awaken Fair’s vendors represent a broad variety of products and services, from essential oils and Ayurvedic medicine to nutritional supplements and organic cleaning products. “Of course, the best vendors of healing crystals and jewelry are at the fair too, offering love-focused rose quartz, healing turquoise, serenity-inducing amethyst and all the others,” Caracappa says.

Intuitive readers will also be on hand, offering insight (for entertainment purposes only) through tarot readings, mediumship, angel readings, numerology, pet readings and similar techniques. Discounted appointments can be made with readers and healers online at PPCGroup.FullSlate.com.
