Brooklyn Organic Kitchen, an organic and plant-based café focused on serving nourishing and energizing dishes, officially opened its South Lake Boulevard location on July 25. The new restaurant’s soft opening came after owner and chef Sandra Marinelli closed Brooklyn Coffee House & Tea Bar, a widely successful Mahopac NY eatery, in 2016.

During the four-year hiatus, Marinelli retooled her culinary arsenal through education and private cheffing to develop nutritious and creative dishes designed to satisfy the needs of all types of dietary preferences. Continuing Brooklyn Coffee House & Tea Bar’s legacy, Brooklyn Organic Kitchen’s menu consists of an array of meals with USDA-certified organic, vegan, non-GMO, fair-trade and locally sourced ingredients.
